Malaysian Deaf Sports Association

The Malaysian Deaf Sports organisation was established in 1997 under the name of the Malaysia Sports Federation Of The Deaf (MSFD). Later, this sports organisation was renamed the Malaysia Deaf Sports Association (MSDeaf) in 2010 when it was registered under the Malaysian Sports Commissioner (PJS).
Sports of the Deaf has been recognized and accepted by the Malaysian Government after the Sports Development (Amendment Act A1570) Act 2018 was passed on April 3, 2018 by the Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia, YB. Brig. Jen. Khairy Jamaluddin in Parliament.
The Act states that MSDeaf is a Federation Of Deaf Sports in Malaysia responsible for developing the sports of Deaf in Malaysia. MSDeaf is also responsible for sending Malaysian Deaf athletes to compete in International Deaf Games such as the Deaflympic Games, Asia Pacific Deaf Games and Asean Deaf Games.
