28th September, Petaling Jaya: Muhammad Danish Bin Mahmud triumphed in the Youth Boys Singles to give WP Kuala Lumpur its first gold medal of the 36th Interstate Tenpin Bowling Championships 2025 while Jamlidin Bin Manap deliver Sabah's first gold in the Men Senior Singles.

Muhammad Aiman Farhan Bin Nor Fuzi of WP Kuala Lumpur got off the mark with a brilliant 237 but only to lead Muahammad Danish Bin Mahmud by one pin. Muhammad Eikhsan of Puala Pinang was third with 233. 2025 Asian Youth Doubles gold medalist, Muhammad Aiman Syahin Bin Sulaiman stayed close with 226 in fourth.

Muhammad Danial Bin Abu Samah of Pahang, who started only with 180, rolled the championship's first 300 in the second game to leapfrog into the lead. Muhammad Danish added 214 to trail in second and Muhammad Eikhsan remained in third.

The leader almost shot the second 300 but settled with 299 in the third game to stretch his lead from 30 to 58 pins over Muhammad Aiman Syahin moving up to second. Two Pulau Pinang youths, Muhd Akif Darwish and Aiden Lim Zen Yao moving up to third and fourth spots.

Muhammad Danish went on to end 196, 247 and 184 to seal victory for WP Kuala Lumpur with 1376. Muhammad Aiman Syahin settled for the silver medal with 1351 while Aiden Lim clinched the bronze medal with 1302, just one pin ahead of Ahmad Farish Danial Bin Mohd Efzaufi of Johor in fourth.

Meanwhile, Jamlidin Bin Manap also delivered Sabah's gold medal with victory in the Men Senior Singles with 1173. Syed Zahari Bin Syed Ibrahim of Perlis, Mohd Nasir Bin Mat Zain of Kelantan and Haris Fadhilah Bin Zainal Abidin fougth out the early lead but could not sustain their pace.

Juraimi Bin Mohd Said of Johor and Darren Lau Wai Choon of WP Putrajaya shared the lead after the fourth game, 34 pins ahead of Haris Fadhilah. Juraimi firmed up his lead after a superb 247 in the fifth game and went on to win the gold medal.

Asrul Azmir of WP Kuala Lumpur stormed home with 241 to snatch the silver medal with 1166. Mohd Nasir bounced back to claim the bronze with with 1143. Kamal Mustapha of Kelantan missed the podium by 11 pins after finishing fourth with 1132.

The Youth Girls and the Women Senior Singles will commenced at 4:00pm and the Men Singles later tonight at 8:00pm. Competition will shift to the Doubles event tomorrow and the Team of Four on September 30 concluding the four day 36th Interstate Championships.
