Selangor wins two gold in Youth Doubles

29th September, Petaling Jaya: The pair of Muhammad Aiman Syahin B Sulaiman-Ridhar Rahman B Riza Abdillah and Qurratu'Ain Izdihar Binti Mohd Pozi-Intan Nor Edryana Bt Nor Azliman won Selangor's second and third gold medals of the 36th Interstate Tenpin Bowling Championships 2025 in the Youth Boys and Youth Girls Doubles.

Negeri Sembilan's first pair of Khalish Danish Azizi Bin Abdul Khaliq and Muahammd Affan Sabrin Bin Azmi got off to a brilliant start with 505 in their opening game to lead the strong Selangor pair of Muhammad Aiman Syahin and Ridhar Rahman by 45 pins.

The leader continued a relentless pace with a strong game of 470 in their second game to extend their lead to 51 pins as the first WP Putrajaya pair of Iqbal Zuhairi Akmal Hadi and Muhammad Hadiff Mohd Hanif moved into second spot.

The Negeri pair remained in the lead for another two games after managing 398 and 406 in the third and fourth games. Selangor closed in strong to regain second spot, just 6 pins adrift. WP Putrajaya 1 sliped down to third with the first Pahang pair making up good grounds.


Youth Boys Doubles gold medalists, Muhammad Aiman Syahin and Ridhar Rahman

Selangor step up their pace slightly with 457 to take over the lead from Negeri Sembilan when they stumbled poorly with 368. The leader ended the strongest with 516 to seal victory with 2746 for the gold medal. WP Putrajaya 1 finished well to clinch the silver medal with 2607.

Sabah's first pair of Mohammad Danish Hakim Bin Fadzilah and Emmanuel Fo Yung Khee snatched the bronze medal with 2601. Pahang 1 missed the podium by just three pins finishing fourth with 2598.

Singles bronze medalist, Qurratu'Ain Izdihar and Intan Nor Edryana gave Selangor a well-deserved double celebration after the pair snatched victory in the Youth Girls Doubles in their final game. The pair amassed a total of 2547 to win Selangor's third gold medal.

Singles silver and gold medalists, Chloe Ho Rui Zhi and Nur Jeehan Iezzaty Binti Suffian of Sabah and Johor's second pair of Nurul Imanina Qistina Binti Norrazli and Nur Ainul Hayat Binti Ad Nor were setting the early pace, leading the first game and the second game.

Selangor took the lead briefly after the third game but Sabah regained their lead after the fourth game. Sarawak's second pair of Adriana Ramiza Bt Maulo and Claudia Kumang Anak Jakson also had a brief lead after the fifth game.

But it was Selangor who ended with 488 to seal victory. Sarawak settled for the silver medal with 2482 while Sabah 1 took home the bronze medal with 2476. The Men and Women will contest their Doubles later at 4:00pm and 8:00pm respectively.
